1. How does this work?

Think of this as your monthly “Trail-Parkrun”.

The Segment Challenge is about getting you out into the wild to run a segment that we’ve chosen, to see if you can run a new fastest time and to step up against your peers! All you need is a pair of legs and a GPS watch (or Smartphone) in order to log your run through the activity app Strava to take part.

The October challenge is happening until 19 November 2018, is open to all runners, and is a totally free event for you to participate in. See our rules & FAQ for more.

2. How do I enter?

Start by learning about the Pats-Track route. Then head out to run it as fast as you can. Now upload your effort to the activity app Strava and include #FKTchallenge in the description. Once that’s done, track the leaderboard to see where you stack up, and follow us online @FKTseries to keep up to date with the challenge.

3. Where do I run?

You’ll be running up and down Pats Track, starting and finishing at the boom located at the trailhead along Springbok Rd. See our route map page and the below for more.

5. Prizes?

Prizes kindly provided by Seattle Coffee Co, Petzl & Squirrels Nut Butterx2 overall winners prizes for fastest male & female for the daytime leaderboard | x2 prizes for fastest male & female for the nighttime leaderboard | x4 lucky spot prizes.
